Awarded to military and civilian personnel engaged in or supporting NATO operations in the Former Yugoslavia.
To qualify for the NATO Medal for Former Yugoslavia, personnel must meet both the qualifying period of service and the eligibility criteria.
Qualifying periods include 30 days of continuous or accumulated service in the Former Yugoslavia, Albania, the Former Republic of Macedonia, and the Adriatic Sea.
Alternatively, 90 days of continuous or accumulated service in Italy, Greece, Hungary, and Austria, in direct support of NATO operations in the Former Yugoslavia (the adjacent area) also qualify.
